Labelling a Car
As part of the module, the students are asked to label a picture of a car. I took it to the next level and had them actually LABEL THE CAR.
Teachers were asked to volunteer their vehicles. All volunteered vehicles were put in one area of the school. Students first brainstormed the parts of a car they know. Show them a picture of a car and have them tell you the things they can and can't see in the picture. Then let them know that they are going to have a competition. Put the students in to groups first. Then go outside to the cars - Each group is given the words from the worksheets here and told that they have to label the car CORRECTLY as quickly as possible. Then tell them go. Only say right or wrong until they get all the names in the right place. The words should be put onto sticky notes or have double sided tape put on the back. |

Getting a Driving License
Here is the license application form for students to practise filling in.
Definitely lots of interesting conversations occur particularly around the "Have you ever....?" section. Below is also a follow up activity I have done with a few classes over the years where they fill in the information and I created a "License to Learn" for them. The formatted document is below, just fill in the student information, print and laminate it. They LOVE it.

Vehicle Application form
Here are two versions of the vehicle application form. The pink form is bilingual and the white is in English only.
Great for completing forms and language/vocab development.
|
Visa Application Form
Although locals are not required to fill in this form, anyone holding a foreign passport or anyone without a yellow IC has to fill one of these in. Great for practise as well as vocabulary. I have put it in here but it can be used for SAP classes also.
